Gap Year in Barcelona

Every stay in Barcelona is simply breathtaking! It is a very lively metropolis that is as close to the ocean as anyone could hope to be. This and many other reasons you will come to know make it one of the most exciting cities in Europe. Visit the Plaza Catalunya, drink a 'Café con Leche' or take a walk down the 'Ramblas' towards the harbor. The streets are filled with artists, street performers and buskers that come from all around the world and give the city its special multicultural and very modern atmosphere. Learn Spanish and get to know the culture of Spain up close and personally whilst taking your Gap Year language course. In the afternoons you will have plenty of time to for choosing to follow your own plans or participating in our free time activity program. You will have 4 lessons before noon every day which leaves the afternoon free for exploring the city.

Our Gap Year course

Before your course begins you will be asked to take a placement test so that we can determine which language course is best suited for your current ability level. Should you feel as though the course you have been placed in is too easy or too challenging, you may discuss the changing of your course with your teacher. After finishing your course you will receive a language course completion certificate. You can choose between the Standard or the Intensive options for your language course. If you decide on the Standard course option you will have 4 Spanish lessons per day, whereas the Intensive course gives you 6 lessons per day. Prices for both course options can be found in the table below.

Our school is located very near to the cathedral of Barcelona. It is also not far from the Gothic Quarter and you will be able to reach the famous 'Ramblas' by foot when you are by the school.
